I'm just glad it didn't hurt the ipod. Charged the ipod 1 time, then broke.
If you take care of your equipment and don't treat it like trash, it won't become trash. or it was damaged in shipping or it received rough treatment.
I do know it is different from the G1,2,3 as far as charging on older speaker systems, clock radios, etc. So, take a chance if you have a Nano G4.
What a bargain. Anyone who has had problems could have gotten a lemon (Hey, it's probably made in China).
So maybe this charger is good only for the G4. It costs more in shipping, a couple of bucks, than the actual price but worth it to me.
I just purchased an Ipod Nano G4 16 GB and this charger works just fine on it.
But I do take my iPod with me everywhere. This is great for traveling and at night when you don't want to keep your computer on just to charge your iPod. I know most people don't leave home without their laptop, but I don't feel comfortable taking mine on school trips (our high school has some cool trips to NY and DC). I wonder why I waited so long to get this. A wonderful device that does not break the bank. Listen to your iPod while charging from any outlet. The shipping outweighed the cost of the actual charger, but still a great deal. No need for a computer.
Charges my ipod mini while in the docking station. Just what I was looking for.
Out of frustration, I let it go considering it would probably not be worth the aggervation it would cause to try to straighten it out. This item was never received.
